The Vanderbilt Commodore basketball team won its fourth straight game on Saturday afternoon when it downed Mississippi State 77-48 at Memorial Gym.
The game was close very early but Vandy built a 37-23 by halftime. In the second half things got really ugly for the Bulldogs when the threes started falling. Vanderbilt made 8-of-16 threes in the second stanza. At one point Jeff Roberson made back-to-back-to-back threes during a one minute, six-second time span in the second half. Roberson finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Vanderbilt basketball improves to 16-13 (9-7 SEC). Next up for the Commodores is a trip to Lexington on Tuesday to face Kentucky.
