Vanderbilt picked up a much-needed 81-48 victory over Houston Baptist on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. Matthew Fisher-Davis paced the Commodores with 19 points. The score was close much fo the first 10 minutes of the game but late in the first half, the Commodores pulled away.
Fisher-Davis canned 5 of 9 three-pointers and looks like he has his shot back. Jeff Roberson tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds to earn his sixth double-double of the season. Riley LaChance made 3 of 4 three-pointers and finished with 11 points.
Vandy improves to 4-7 with the win. Houston Baptist falls to 4-9. The Commodores will host Alcorn State on Friday night at Memorial Gym. After that, it's on to the SEC slate.
