The Vanderbilt Commodore women's basketball team fell to Georgia on Thursday night at Memorial Gym, 81-52. Chelsie Hall scored 17 points to lead the Commodores. The Lady Bulldogs, led in scoring by Stephanie Paul with 18, jumped out to a 22-9 first period lead and never looked back. Vandy played close in both the second and third periods but in the final stanza, the Bulldogs outscored the Commodores 21-9 to come away with their biggest margin of victory ever in Memorial Gym.
Vandy falls to 4-12 (0-2 SEC) while Georgia improves to 13-2 (1-1 SEC). Next up for Vanderbilt is a trip to rival Tennessee on Sunday at 11 am CT (SEC Network).
