NORTHWESTERN EDGES VANDERBILT IN NCAA, 68-66

SALT LAKE CITY– No. 9 seed Vanderbilt fell to eighth-seeded Northwestern 68-66 on Thursday afternoon. The Commodores trailed by 15 with just over 13 minutes remaining in the contest but VU went on a 28-12 run to take a 62-61 lead with 1:36 remaining. SEC TOURNAMENT: VANDY BOMBS AWAY TEXAS A&M 66-41

After a tight first half, Vanderbilt unleashed a flurry of three-pointers in the second half to down Texas A&M for the third time this season, 66-41. Joe Toye made an incredible five of eight three points shots, all in the second half and led the Commodores with 18 points. (more…)
